The accommodation Sherpa is located in the beautiful village of Nova Lesna under the High Tatras. These alpine type mountains are located in the heart of Europe on Slovakia’s northern border with Poland.

Nova Lesna is in the middle of this mountain region and provides with easy access and short traveling time to any attractions in the area. The transport gateway to the surrounding region as well as to the whole country is the airport in the city of Poprad. There is a railway station, the Tatra Electric Railway and public bus lines connecting the surrounding areas around Poprad.

The entire Tatra region features a variety of tourist attractions, castles, museums, thermal baths, and plenty of beautiful natural sites.

The most popular sport activities in the region are skiing, snowboarding and alpine touring in the winter. In the summer you can hike the endless trails of the High Tatras. Throughout the summer the mountains also offer lot of opportunities for rock climbers. Then Liptovska Mara dam, approximately 70km from Nova Lesna, is famous for its surfing conditions.
